I'VE BROUGHT NEW KID HOLM TO PARKHEAD

BRENDAN RODGERS last night revealed he gave the green light to land Norwegian wonder kid Odin Thiago Holm.

The 20-year-old became the returning manager’s first signing after penning a five-year deal at Parkhead in a £2.6million move from Valerenga.

Rodgers has already held talks with the youngster – who has been tracked since he was a teenager by Euro big guns such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Juventus.

Holm admitted he was thrilled to be heading to Scotland and is looking forward to hooking up with his new team-mates for pre-season before taking his Celtic Park bow.

Holm said: “I’m happy to sign for this massive club. Can’t wait to see you at Paradise.

“Celtic is a massive club, perhaps bigger than many realise. I’m looking forward to playing in front of 60,000 fans on a weekly basis, the derby against Rangers and not least the Champions League in the autumn.
