SNOOKER star John Higgins has revealed he gave up booze after he was snapped sleeping in the back of a taxi.
The Wizard of Wishaw, 48, had been out with friends in Belfast during the Northern Ireland Open in 2019.
He had downed pints in a bar and later caught a taxi back to his hotel room. But he was later pictured asleep in the back of the car and accused of not paying the fare.
The Daily Record revealed he told the taxi driver James Crawford “you’re getting f*** all from me”.
The four-time world champion has been tee-total since and has vowed not to touch alcohol ever again.
