JIM GOODWIN has confirmed Dylan Levitt and Steven Fletcher both asked to quit Dundee United.

He also admitted the Championship favourites aren't prepared to "hold anybody here against their will".

Levitt has made a £300,000 move to Hibs, while Fletcher has terminated his Tannadice contract.

Goodwin is now looking to rebuild a squad he wants to guide back to the Premiership at the first time of asking.

The Irishman said: "As a manager you are always disappointed to lose quality players but when someone says they don't want to be here and wants to play at a higher level you have a decision to make.
