Star's mum blames rising costs and planning doubts for ditching project

JUDY TENNIS SCHOOL PLAN IS CANNED

PLANS for a £20million tennis centre led by Sir Andy Murray’s mother Judy have been shelved.

The Park of Keir project was no longer viable in its current form, the Murray Play Foundation charity said.

The charity added that “significant increases in construction, material, energy and labour costs, a lengthy and uncertain planning process, and protracted discussions with governing bodies” were among the factors that had scuppered the project.
