AIRDRIE.................0
DUNDEE UNITED...2
KAI FOTHERINGHAM showed just why he’s the talk of the Tangerines with a double that has Dundee United on course for a top-flight return.
The 20-year-old midfielder extended the Tannadice club’s unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 games as they sunk Airdrie to preserve their four-point lead at the top of the Championship.
Jim Goodwin’s rampant side have now scored 18 in their last five league games and, currently, look unstoppable.
But it was a frustrating night for Airdrie, who struggled to create much while errors at the back were being ruthlessly exploited.
The Diamonds have now gone four games without a win as they adjust to life in the second tier for the first time in a decade.
Delighted gaffer Goodwin hailed his wonderkid and said: “Kai’s in a really good place. He’s taken his opportunity, scoring and assisting goals. They were two great finishes.
