JIM GOODWIN believes simplifying Glenn Middleton’s game will see Dundee United get the best out of him.
The attacker opened the scoring and set United well on their way to their 4-0 Championship win over Arbroath on Friday night.
Former Rangers youngster Middleton has played on the right, cutting in or through the middle. But his manager has told him he wants him to play on the left and to use his raw pace to scare defenders and create danger.
Goodwin said: “I know Glenn likes to play on the right sometimes but I prefer him on the other side.
“Glenn’s strength is facing up to defenders and knocking it past them, using that pace he has.
