Homes boss hits out at ministers for energy-saving houses failure

A TASK force set to up to spark a boom in green heating in Scottish homes has failed to “grasp the nettle”, a housing chief has claimed.

Gillian Campbell, of the Existing Homes Alliance, criticised the Holyrood government and the Green Heat Finance Taskforce it set up in 2021 for taking “very little action”.

She warned a lack of clarity and certainty was holding investors back, hampering the nation’s net zero mission.

The SNP government set up the independent taskforce three years ago to come up with innovative financial solutions to deal with the huge pricetag linked to decarbonising our homes and buildings.
