LITTLER GOES A LONG WAY

ON another memorable night for kebab sales in north London, the boy wonder defied his age again like the Pitta Pan of darts.

As Luke Littler became the youngest-ever player to reach the last 16 at the Paddy Power PDC World Championship, history beckoned him like the donner meat on a rotisserie grill.

After a brilliant 4-1 demolition of Canada's Matt Campbell, there can no longer be any doubt that this kid is Luke Skywalker in the constellation of darts' Star Wars.

Littler was in tears afterward as he hugged mum, Lisa. Then he resolved to celebrate today by breaking out of his hotel to "chill out, go shopping and treat myself to more shoes and pants".

Boris Becker won Wimbledon at 17, Pele won his first World Cup at 17, Mike Tyson won the world heavyweight title at 19.
