A HAMLET immortalised by the late Terry Wogan has its stolen saucy sign back this time for good.
Engineers reckon their new sign for Cock Bridge is thiefproof after welding its heavy metal bracket to poles.
The Aberdeenshire village had been without its place name for more than a year after it was stolen again.
Local councillor Geva Blackett had said: "I want it&nbsp;back up-it is a world famous sign. When the sign for Cock Bridge goes up next time it must stay up."
One local said: "It really is bullet-proof a real heavy duty job. Let's hope it stays up for good this time."
Thieves have targeted the&nbsp;sign since Wogan regularly poked fun at its name. The BBC Radio 2 star used to mock the council for being unprepared for the snow that blocks the Cock Bridge to Tomintoul road every winter.
Locals wrote in to say it was not the local authority that cleared the snow but local&nbsp;postmistress Mrs MacKay. He created the legend of "Mrs MacKay, the silver-haired postmistress and her silver-handled shovel".
Aberdeenshire Council said it was "aware of the issues with this sign" and had worked to replace it using "more robust tamper proof fixings".
