Munroes challenge in name of tragic Claire

THE devastated friend of a murdered mum is taking on a gruelling 16-day Munro challenge in her memory.

Viv Fairweather, from Stirling, will tackle the peaks in a tribute to Claire Inglis, who was horrifically murdered by her boyfriend in 2021.

Convicted domestic abuser Christopher McGowan, who had been bailed to her home, left Claire with 76 injuries.

He was jailed for a minimum of 23 years last October.

Viv, 34, became friends with Claire, 28, when they worked in a nursery together more than 10 years ago.
