Boss praise as scrum-half marks 100th game with try

THE Warriors kicked off their URC season with a bonus-point win.

But they had to fight all the way before making sure of the seven-try victory - the most touchdowns and the most points they have managed in a win over Leinster.

Leinster were without all of their World Cup stars, while Franco Smith's squad had seven of the men who had been with Scotland in France.

That should have made a big difference but the Irishmen had other ideas and were always in contention until the final few minutes.

"It was a classic start-of-the-season game," head coach Smith said.

"We made lots of errors, but if you don't try you won't get better." Glasgow had a slow start last season, losing their opening game.
