Nearly 1million kids tried vaping in last year, shock poll finds

The nationally representative YouGov survey, which has been carried out every spring since 2013, found 18 per cent of 11 to 17-year-olds used e-cigarettes.

It suggests 980,000 youngsters vaped last year.

The charity Action on Smoking and Health (Ash), which commissions the polling, said although it "suggests the rapid rise in youth vaping since the pandemic has stabilised in 2024, it is not yet clearly declining".
