TV VIEWERS have for decades enjoyed his performances as Harold Bishop, the stuffy but kind churchgoer on Neighbours.
But actor Ian Smith made an even more touching appearance as himself on a news show, revealing he has terminal cancer.
Ian told Australia's 10 News First: "I found out a few months back that I have cancer, that I have a very aggressive non-fixable cancer and they expect me to die."
