Government adviser warns green buildings cost is underplayed

DECARBONISING Scot-land's homes and offices could cost £130billion, an expert has warned four times higher than a Holyrood estimate.

Stephen Good, boss of construction industry body Built Environment Smarter Transformation, warned the SNP government's forecast of a £33billion bill to green retrofit Scotland's buildings was a major underestimate.

The findings came in a Just Transition Commission report into how to finance a net zero revolution.
