FOUR out of 10 Scots trying to claim a disability benefit introduced by the SNP government have been rejected.
The high number of refusals for the Adult Disability Payment has led to criticism of the devolved social security system which was meant to be more "humane" than the UK disability benefit regime.
Labour MSP Paul O'Kane said: "Scots were promised a fairer social security system but this brutal rejection rate would make the Tories blush.
