A LEADING revealed number of Scottish health boards are offering little or no support to people with Long Covid.
charity has a significant Chest, Heart &amp; Stroke Scotland called for more help for the 94,000 Scots sufferers.
It made the plea after responses to the Covid 19 Recovery Committee Consultation showed a lack of specialist staff and support.
And it highlighted a post-code lottery, with some local authorities failing to provide any dedicated staff.
Jane-Claire Judson, Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland's Chief Executive, said: "Of the nine Scottish Health Boards that responded to the consultation, five had no dedicated Long Covid staff, and two had no dedicated Long Covid provision at all.
"This not only illustrates the&nbsp;challenge facing Health Boards to provide the services required, but also the dire situation facing thousands of Scots living with the condition across the country who we know feel abandoned, unsupported and left behind.
"We need a national approach, ensuring people with Long Covid can access coordinated, multidisciplinary care and all health boards have integrated referrals to third sector support, regardless of where in Scotland they live."
