Hibs striker Adam says club told him to tear up his contract or sit on the bench

ADAM LE FONDRE has accused Hibs chiefs of forcing him to tear up the option of a second year on his contract by threatening to leave him exiled if he refused.

The veteran striker left Easter Road after one season last month having scored five goals in 30 appearances.

But the gutted former Reading hitman insists he was shown no respect by chief executive Ben Kensell or owner Ian Gordon who, he says, left axed boss Nick Montgomery to deliver the ultimatum.

And he claims the chiefs even blanked him thereafter by darting off into rooms whenever they met in the hall at Hibs Training Centre.
