THE daughter of Scots football hero lain Ferguson has told how she was brutally taunted by bullies on social media 17 years ago - and fears "nothing has changed".
Anti-bullying campaigner Kelsey Ferguson has lifted the lid on the misery she endured as a young girl in response to the Record's Our Kids ... Our Future campaign.
The former Rangers, Dundee United and Hearts star's daughter was tormented in school and faced a wave of sickening online attacks from bullies on early 2000s platforms like MSN and Bebo.
Now 33, Kelsey has told how she has been left horrified after witnessing a disturbing series of violent online videos sweep through Scotland for "likes" and popularity.
She fears a new generation of young people are facing the threat of online bullying and has demanded a crackdown by social media giants on violent videos featuring teenagers.
The mum of one told the Record: "These clips are horrific to watch and we can't forget that one video could take a life, whether that be by suicide or by serious physical harm.
"When I was finishing up school, social media was just becoming a thing and even then, I was targeted on Bebo and MSN.
"Almost instantly it became a new platform for bullying to play out in. I can't believe after all these years, we are now in 2023 and it's still taking place.
