A SCOT on an epic 150-day trek across the US surprised his girlfriend halfway through the trip by asking her to marry him.
Chris Murphy, 32, popped the question to partner Kayleigh McKinnon, 32, midway through a journey along the Pacific Crest Trail.
Floor fitter Chris, from Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, had picked out a ring and asked his brother Jack, 29, to bring it when he joined the trek.
