TWO terriers face being destroyed after they mauled a dog to death and left a pensioner injured during a vicious attack.
Barry Mimnaugh, 59, had been warned about the behaviour of his Patterdale terriers Rocky and Ruby.
But they escaped his garden in Cleland, Lanarkshire, and attacked Norma Smith, 73, before pouncing on Cass, her pet Pomeranian.
They seized the tiny dog and repeatedly bit it in August last year. The injuries were so severe the animal died.&nbsp;Norma was repeatedly bitten on the body while another woman was also bitten as she intervened.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court Mimnaugh admitted owning dangerously out of control dogs.
Prosecutors have asked for the dogs, currently being held in kennels, to be put down.
Depute fiscal Rosemary O'Neill told&nbsp; the court Mimnaugh was warned about his dogs by North Lanarkshire Council in July 2023, weeks before the lethal attack.
She said following complaints "it was important the dogs were kept on a lead and that his garden was secure." She added: "I would be moving for the destruction of these dogs." Sheriff Mark Moir KC deferred sentence until next month.
