A POLICE sergeant's grieving partner has spoken of her anger at force failings that left a suspect armed and ready to murder him.

Matt Ratana, 54, was shot in September 2020 by Louis de Zoysa, who had been arrested and searched before being brought to a police station.

However, rookie PC Richard Davey failed to find the gun he had hidden in an underarm holster.
