KILLER Olympic athlete Oscar Pistorius is to be freed- despite fears he could strike again.
Reeva Steenkamp, 29, was gunned down by her boyfriend Pistorius on Valentine's Day in 2013.
The South African sprinter was convicted of culpable homicide, upgraded to murder on appeal, after he fired four shots through a toilet door, killing the model and law graduate.
He claimed to have thought Reeva was a burglar breaking into their Pretoria home.
But her mum June, 77, said yesterday: "My dearest child screamed for her life; loud enough for the neighbours to hear her.
"I do not believe Oscar thought the person in the toilet was a burglar. In fact, I do not know anybody who does."
Mrs Steenkamp did not oppose parole but warned Pistorius, 37, has a temper. She added: "I am not convinced that he has been rehabilitated.
