Sarwar party leads for first time since independence referendum

LABOUR has pulled ahead of the SNP in Westminster voting for the first time since before the 2014 independence referendum, a poll suggests.

A YouGov survey found 33 per cent of Scots backed Labour for the next general election, up one point on the last poll in October.

The SNP dropped two points to 31 per cent among decided voters, while the Scottish Tories fell sharply, shedding six points to 14 per cent.
