'POVERTY TAX' DEDUCTION IS £12M A MONTH

HOUSEHOLDS reliant on Universal Credit are losing £12.6million every month due to a "poverty tax", official figures reveal.

The UK Government deducted the figure from 209,400 Scottish homes between March and May.

Figures obtained by SNP MP Chris Stephens show that the average household had £60 taken away.
