DEFENCE Secretary Ben Wallace last night came under fire for accusing Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelensky of not being grateful for Nato's help.
The gaffe-prone Minister implied the President had presented him with a "wish list" for military support and said: "We're not Amazon.
Speaking to reporters at the Nato summit in Lithuania, Wallace said: "People want to see gratitude... Last June, I said to the Ukrainians when I drove 11 hours to be given a [wish] list, 'I'm not Amazon".
Shadow Defence Secretary John Healey said: "The Ukrainians are fighting for the future and the freedom of their country.
"President Zelensky wants more military help yesterday.
"What he doesn't need is lectures on gratitude." Zelensky hit back, saying: "I thought that we were always very grateful to the UK.
"I don't quite understand how else can we thank.
