A PAEDOPHILE who shared vile child sex abuse images with Huw Edwards was unmasked yesterday.
Alex Williams, 25, sent the veteran newsreader 41 images including two videos of a boy as young as seven, in a WhatsApp chat.
Edwards, 62, was only exposed when police scoured Williams' phone in an unrelated probe and found the messages.
Scotland Yard said Williams admitted possessing and distributing category A, B and C images as well as possessing prohibited images of children.
He was sentenced to a suspended 12-month jail sentence at Merthyr Tydfil crown court on March 15.
Yesterday, Williams' family, of Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, said their son no longer lives with them and denied any knowledge of his crimes.
