STEVEN NAISMITH vowed the after the Tynecastle faithful will see a marked improvement international break - as he was appointed head coach at Hearts.
The expected managerial reshuffle was confirmed yesterday, after the Jambos' European run came to an end at the hands of PAOK.
Frankie McAvoy had initially been put in place as head coach for their Europa Conference League adventure because Naismith, who was named as technical director, didn't have the required UEFA pro licence.
The same restraints aren't in place domestically and it means Naismith, who is working towards his full licence, can take charge domestically and resume overall control.
McAvoy will now drop down to assistant coach alongside Gordon Forrest and goalkeeping coach Paul Gallagher.
Hearts have won just one game in the league this season and have lost their last four matches in Europe and the Premiership and that is something that needs to be addressed and quickly.
