Fired-up Mcllroy eyes FedEx flourish

RORY'S FLIP SHOT

RORY MCILROY aims to "change the narrative" of his season as he bids to win the FedEx Cup for a record-extending fourth time.

McIlroy has won twice worldwide this season but let other chances slip through his fingers-painfully in the US Open at Pinehurst and the Olympics in Paris.

He heads into the first play-off event, the FedEx St Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, almost 3500 points behind world No.1 Scottie Scheffler, who won six times on the PGA Tour before taking gold at Le Golf National this month.
