In a YouGov poll of 1103 Scots from September 8-13, the party sits at 16 per cent - rising from 15 per cent - in Westminster voting intentions, behind Labour on 27 per cent and the SNP on 38 per cent.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland from Manchester, Ross said he was confident of increasing their seat tally next year.
"I'm very confident that the Scottish Conservatives can hold on to the seats we currently have and make gains," he said. His party holds six seats in Scotland, concentrated in the northeast and Borders, after losing seven constituencies in the 2019 election.
Ross added: "We saw a recent by-election in South Ayrshire where the Scottish Conservative vote went up by 20 per cent". The 40-year-old Moray MP is standing down at the next election and said that he has no regrets.
Ross also outlined his support for more tax cuts, saying: "I'd like to see tax cuts in Scotland so we get parity with the rest of the UK."
