A SCOTS soldier has been charged with murder in Canada after a businessman died following an alleged brawl.
Corporal Craig Gibson, 28, of 4 Scots, the Highlanders, was arrested by police called to reports of an assault in Toronto at about 11.25pm on August 28.
A 38-year-old, named as local man Brett Sheffield, was given emergency treatment at the scene. He was then rushed to hospital but died two days later.
