SHINN IT TO WIN IT

ROSS CO......1 ABERDEEN......2

THE SAS fired Aberdeen into the semi-finals against Ross County's 10 men - but only just.

Skipper Graeme Shinnie's wonder strike for the opener and Ester Sokler's first goal for the club saw Dons home, despite sub Kyle Turner's late penalty for County, who had Jack Baldwin sent off after just 14 minutes.

It was back-to-back wins over County for Barry Robson's new-look side, who finally look to be getting into their stride.

And the Pittodrie side will be hoping they can go one step further than last season when they lost to Rangers in the semis.

Victor Loturi, Josh Sims and George Harmon came in for Josh Reid, Turner and Jordan White from the side that started the 4-0 defeat at Pittodrie on Sunday, while Jonny Hayes replaced James McGarry for the Dons.

County were looking for a change in fortunes, but fell behind just eight minutes in.
