SHOW US BORIS' COVID MESSAGES

THE leader of the Covid-19 inquiry has condemned the Government for refusing to hand over Boris Johnson's unredacted WhatsApp messages and pandemic diaries.

In letters published yesterday, Baroness Hallett revealed the row with the Cabinet Office amid a stand-off over the release of sensitive material.

It relates to messages sent between the then-PM Mr Johnson and dozens of high-profile figures, including Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss, as well as No10 advisers during the Covid crisis.

The inquiry had issued a legal notice in April requesting the files, but No10 has ignored it, claiming some information was "unambiguously irrelevant".
