MARTIN Compston has revealed he failed to convince business leaders to invest in Celtic-themed garden during a gnomes Dragons' Den-style business pitch.
The Line of Duty star tried to get Sir Tom Hunter and Lord Willie Haughey on board with a venture for the ornaments depicting Parkhead greats.
The actor appeared as a special guest on stage with the pair at a conference for entrepreneurs at Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire this month.
Martin teamed up with friends from his hometown of Greenock to sell gnomes of Celtic legends including Billy McNeill, Jimmy Johnstone and Henrik Larsson.
The 39-year-old said his pitch did not impress refrigeration tycoon&nbsp;Haughey or former Sport Division owner Hunter and none of the other business people at the event showed any interest.
He said: "At one point I had a side hustle which was a garden gnome business of football players.
"We had Celtic players and I think they're pretty&nbsp;good. I also wanted to do Gnomespotting or Game of Gnomes and all that kind of thing.
"I thought one of them might have (gone for it) bit but nothing, not a nibble."
Martin launched the garden gnomes project in 2017 and the first batch sold out.
