Tennent's was ranked first for alcoholic brands ahead of The Famous Grouse whisky in second and White &amp; Mackay in third.
The research was carried out by Kantar for Scottish Grocer magazine and the rankings were based&nbsp;on take-home sales from shops for the 52 weeks to the week ending September 3.
Other alcohol brands which proved popular with customers included Glen's Vodka, which was the fourth biggest seller, followed by Tamnavulin whisky.
Beer firm Innis &amp; Gunn's products took sixth place.
