'Stamp' cop suspended

A POLICE officer filmed stamping on a man's head has been suspended.

But despite calls for calm, fresh protests erupted in Manchester city centre last night, bringing traffic to a halt.

Earlier a lawyer for Fahir Khan, 19, the man kicked and stamped on at Manchester Airport, said he was in hospital with a "cyst on the brain".

And he revealed that Fahir's eldest brother is also a police officer.
