FOUR climate change protesters caused £7000 of damage to the Scottish Parliament by spraying it with red paint.
Activists used balloons, water pistols and a fire extinguisher to douse the building's public entrance.
The protest by the This Is Rigged group followed a UK Government decision earlier this month to back hundreds of new oil and gas licences.
Hannah Torrance-Bright, 21, Georgia Barrett, 27, Ruth Lanser, 27 and Hannah Taylor, 23, pled not guilty to the charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
