TEACH PRIMARY PUPILS ABOUT DANGERS OF AI

SCHOOLS face calls to teach kids as young as primary age about the perils and benefits of artificial intelligence.

The emergence of AI has brought a tidal wave of fear and the Record has revealed huge abuses at schools and universities.

But developers and teachers believe the benefits will outweigh the risks if kids are given a full understanding of AI by the time they first hit school.

Many schoolchildren are already using platforms that aid learning by the time they are six, with applications like Google's Quick Draw pooling work from millions of users.

Michael MacDonald, a teacher at a primary school in Glasgow's south side, said kids leaving school will be more computer literate than their parents.
