It's taken Gordon Hay 17 years to convert the King James version.
The 70-year-old first stepped in to translate two passages for a Doric service in 2006 when the minister was ill. "I started dabbling then," he said. "Now it's the first full translation of the Bible into any Scottish language or dialect.
When Gordon started on the New Testament he was a solicitor in Peterhead. He retired in 2013 and took on the Old Testament. The Aul Testament is&nbsp;758 pages long with more than 600,000 words - some just don't exist in Doric.
He said: "Exodus has a long description of priestly vestments. One is an ephod. It's a sleeveless shirt not suitable for north-eastern climate.&nbsp;I called it a weskit.
"And the New Testament talks a lot about joy and peace. There are no Doric words for joy or peace." 
Gordon sells the Testaments for &pound;12 and &pound;35.
