Concerns are raised as one in five call handlers drops out of training

ONE in five NHS 24 recruits fails to complete the training course for the job amid claims the process is "too stressful".

Figures obtained by the Labour Party show a high dropout rate among NHS phone-in service recruits in the past year.

Health bosses claim the completion rate for NHS24 trainees is "impressive".

But one ex-recruit claimed many of those taking the NHS 24 training course struggle and end up dropping out.

She claimed: "I previously worked with NHS Scotland in both vaccination and contact tracing and the training there was exceptional.
