ANGER erupted in a court yesterday after a teacher who killed a biker was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work.
Sheriff Gregor Murray had to pause sentencing after an outburst from a packed public gallery at the non-custodial sentence handed out to driver Angela Addis following the death of Jon Marsh, 48.
His grief-stricken widow Tracey said afterward: "I question how a penalty of 140 hours community service acts a deterrent to others.
