Conway right on cue as he sends Euros message to senior boss Clarke
TOM YOU WIN

TOMMY CONWAY took a huge step towards booking his seat on the Scotland plane to the Euros after netting in Istanbul.

And manager Scot Gemmill reckons the Bristol City striker is in excellent shape to make an instant impact with the senior side right now.

Conway netted the opener in last night's friendly defeat to Turkey and also had a goal chopped off.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke admitted the 21-year-old Taunton-born frontman is at the front of his mind when it comes to calling up a replacement for crocked hitman Lyndon Dykes.

And with the full squad passing up a host of chances in Gibraltar, Conway did himself no harm at all with a well-placed header.

Under-21s gaffer Gemmill said: "It's up to Steve, he has to make the call. He and his staff will be working hard to make the right decision.
