Deputy resigns as four leadership candidates demand answers over departing Ross's sly seat move.

TORIES ARE REVOLTING

MEGHAN Gallacher yesterday quit as Scottish Tory deputy leader amid concerns over the alleged conduct of Douglas Ross.

The leadership candidate cited concerns her role would present a "conflict of interest" as she seeks to replace Ross as the head of the party in Scotland.

But she said she was "deeply troubled" at the allegations reported in the Telegraph that Ross had asked to replace a candidate who was contesting the Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey seat in the UK general election.
