Tory chief told cops: We are covering up rape MP

A FORMER Tory chairman wrote to police over fears the party was covering up a rape allegation against an MP.

Sir Jake Berry told officers there were claims of a series of sexual assaults, with up to five victims. He said one alleged victim of the unnamed politician was receiving support paid for by the Party, according to a letter.

Separately, it was suggested an MP had sex with a prostitute on a billiard table watched by four other cheering MPs, according to a book by former Cabinet Minister Nadine Dorries.

Berry served briefly as chairman during Liz Truss's 49-day premiership last autumn. After leaving the role in October 2022, he reportedly wrote to police alerting officers to the rape claims.
