Tragic DJ's cancer 'could have been spotted sooner'

THE wife of Scots dance DJ Mallorca Lee has said his cancer could have been spotted earlier.

The founder of techno group UltraSonic died in February, aged 51.

His wife Maria revealed that her husband had to chase a diagnosis after tests were taken by his GP before he left Paisley to tour in Australia.

She said: "When we were away, we called for his results to be told that they 'couldn't find them' - they had been lost.

"Over the two weeks my husband complained of severe constipation. He put a brave face on for the gigs and put on a show."

The couple, parents to Oceano, 21, and Angel, 18, arrived home and Lee returned to the GP to repeat the tests.

Maria claims he was told everything was fine and that the negative results ruled out anything sinister.
