HAYLEY McQueen has revealed her footballer dad Gordon's brain has been donated to medical science to help the battle against dementia.
The legendary Scotland, Leeds and Man Utd defender passed away aged 70 following a battle with the deadly illness, linked to heading the ball in former professional footballers.
TV presenter Hayley has now told how his brain has been given to a doctor who is looking into links between heading footballs and dementia.
The 43-year-old said: "Dad was cremated but his brain was donated to&nbsp;medical science so Dr.&nbsp;William Stewart is using that as part of his research.
"He is looking into CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) and brain damage and footballers who have headed footballs which my dad of course did and we believe that is what causes the dementia and dad died at 70 years old."
