A TEENAGER who died after going to a rave at a nightclub has been named by his former school.

Coatbridge High School paid tribute to Marcus Dick, 18, who was described as a “kind and thoughtful” pupil.

Marcus, who is from the town, was one of two 18-year-old males who died after attending a rave at SWG3 on Glasgow’s Eastvale Place on Saturday.

Police were alerted to a teen having taken unwell at 11.20pm in the Constarry Road area of Croy, Lanarkshire.

The young man, who had been at SWG3, was rushed to University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie but could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
