Trump course is in the rough.. for 12th year in a row

DONALD Trump's golf resort in Aberdeenshire has made a loss for the 12th year in a row.

Accounts filed at Companies House for the former US president's course at the Menie estate show it is in the red.

He opened the Trump International Golf Links in 2012 after a battle with environmental campaigners.

It posted a loss of more than £1.4million for 2023 - almost double its loss of £738,344 the previous year.

But the resort, which is valued at £37million, recorded its highest ever turnover, increasing it from £3.6million to £3.7million.

Trump, 78, hailed the course as the greatest in the world and pledged to create 800 jobs at the resort.

The business employed 84 people during its 12th year of operations, paying them a total of £2.4million.
