The new boxes, which will be on sale in some Tesco stores, are more environmentally friendly than the plastic ones, which were introduced in the 2010s.The classic Quality Street tin will continue to be available.Two years ago, Nestle replaced Quality Street's plastic wrappers with recyclable paper.The company said it removed two billion wrappers a year out of landfill, but the move was not popular with everyone.About 1.7 billion Quality Street treats are eaten in Britain every year - 60 per household.Big rival Roses, made by Cadbury, will continue to be sold in plastic tubs and tins.
