Turn the other Greek? NO WAY

The Dons defender admits the bad blood that spilled in the dramatic 3-2 defeat will be in the back of their minds this week as Barry Robson’s men look to get back in the hunt in the Europa Conference.

Barry Robson’s Reds have produced impressive performances in the group so far but pocketed just one point.

They were two up on PAOK at Pittodrie and were denied a stonewall penalty to go 3-1 ahead before the Greeks turned the clash around and wildly celebrated a last-minute spot- kick winner.

Devlin caught the brunt of the outburst and will use it as an added incentive in Thessaloniki on Thursday.

He said: “I don’t mind people celebrating all over the park.

“But I don’t like it being done right in front of my face. The whole team and coaching staff was celebrating with their fans.

“Quite why he wanted to celebrate in front of me I don’t know. A lot worse things have happened to me in games and I’ve taken a lot more abuse.

“They were shouting in Greek to me so I’m not sure what they were saying – so it didn’t bother me.

“Will we use that out there, maybe learn some Greek? We’ll see!”
