Virus nearly killed our baby...get the Vaccine

A MUM is urging pregnant women to get a life-saving vaccine after a virus left her newborn baby in intensive care.

Fiona Walker gave birth to Ethyan six weeks early at University Hospital Wishaw in Lanarkshire.

However, within a few days of getting home the tot had developed a cough and had become really unwell.

As his condition deteriorated Ethvan was rushed back into the hospital before being transferred to the intensive care unit at Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children.

He had developed the lung infection bronchiolitis - which is caused by the potentially fatal respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
